Go-Karting Stag Do in Sofia
Go-Karting
Every group has one mate who's been boasting about his driving since the day he passed his test. Put him in a kart and the truth comes out fast. Some of you will be carving through the corners like naturals, while others will turn out to drive like they're still on L plates and scared of roundabouts.
Build your stag doWhat's included
- 15 minutes on track in the latest Sodi karts
- Formula 1-style electronic timing on every lap
- Your lap times saved online to argue about later
- A helmet for every driver
- An indoor track with safety barriers and grippy flooring, whatever the weather
Why book with us
- Planned by people who live in Sofia
- One price, agreed up front
- One planner looking after your group
- Change the plan as you go
- Every booking made by us, direct
- You turn up, we handle the rest
What you'll do
- Suit up - Helmet and balaclava on, and zip everything up, because loose clothing isn't allowed on track.
- Warm the tyres - Cold tyres have no grip, so the first laps are for warming them up, not for heroics.
- Race the clock - 15 minutes flat out, with the timing system logging every lap the way they do it in Formula 1.
- Keep it clean - No ramming, no stopping on track, and if you spin, stay in the kart with a hand up until the staff get to you.
- Compare the laps - Everyone's times go online afterwards, so the day's champion has the numbers to prove it.
What you'll need to bring
- Comfy clothes you don't mind sweating in, zipped or buttoned up
- Closed shoes with grip (flip-flops and brogues stay at the hotel)
- A balaclava, or rent one at the desk for a couple of euros
- The humility to get lapped by the lad who still gets the bus

Why go-karting works on a stag do
Karting works on a stag do because it lights up everyone's competitive side, and you don't need to be a driver to enjoy it. The indoor track runs the latest Sodi karts, which have the pace to feel like real racing instead of a gentle trundle round a car park.
Electronic timing settles every argument before it starts. Nobody can blame their kart or claim they were quicker, because the numbers are right there on the screen, and so are the gaps when the mate who reckons he's basically a racing driver puts a lap on you.
Fifteen minutes doesn't sound like much until you're in it. It's long enough to learn the lines, find a few tenths and have a proper go at the lad in front, and groups of 10 or more can book a race format instead of an open session.
The real entertainment is watching characters come out once the pressure is on. The careful driver suddenly turns into a menace, the speed merchant can't take a bend to save his life, and someone always ends up moaning about his kart's handling like he's in a Formula One debrief.
Safety is well sorted, which leaves you free to push hard without real risk. Barriers line the track, the flooring is built for grip and every kart has a seat belt, which suits a group with a wide spread of ability and confidence.

Go-Karting FAQs
Everything the group chat keeps asking, answered.
1. How fast do go-karts go?
Fast enough. Sat a few inches off the floor in a Sodi kart, a bend taken flat out feels a lot quicker than any number on paper.
2. Do you need racing experience for go-karting?
None at all. Take the first laps easy while the tyres warm up, and you'll be quicker by the end of the 15 minutes.
3. What if one of the lads is a rubbish driver?
All the better for the rest of you. Karting shows up the gap in ability almost straight away, which gives you plenty of material to rip him about for years.
4. Are some go-karts faster than others?
The karts are all kept at roughly the same level of performance, so there's nowhere to hide if you finish last. Any difference comes down to the driver, not the machine.
5. What if someone crashes their kart?
Small knocks and spins are all part of it. If you spin and can't carry on, stay in the kart with a hand up and the staff come to you.
6. Can we race each other properly?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more can book a race format, and everyone's on the same timing either way, so the result is never in doubt.
7. Do you get a printout of your lap times?
Your times are saved online, so the argument can carry on long after you've left the track.
8. When is the track open?
Every day from 10:00 to 23:00, so it fits round a late breakfast or a blast before dinner.
9. What happens to go-karting if it rains?
Nothing. It's an indoor track, so the weather never gets a say.
